Funeral Services for Mrs. Suddarth

Funeral services for Anna Lois Suddarth, 80, were held Aug 29 at Ricks Funeral Home. The Rev. Alvin Tyler officiated with burial in Star Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Suddarth died Aug 27, in Lincoln County Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks following a stroke.

She was born Sept 12, 1886, near New Hope, the daughter of George T. and Nancy Jane Mayes Blackmore. On Dec 12, 1908 she was married to Archie Suddarth. Mrs. Suddarth was a member of the Elsberry Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Archie Suddarth; four sons, Leon Suddarth of Chesterfield, Thomas Suddarth of Clarksville, John Suddarth of Elsberry and Robert Suddarth of O’Fallon; three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Thomas of Louisiana, Mrs. Geraldine Wilson of Tory and Miss Georgia Suddarth of Overland; a granddaughter, Mrs. Eloise Summers of Patterson, ill, who was raised in their home as their daughter; twenty other grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Blackmore of Elsberry; a brother-in-law, Richard Crank of Elsberry; sister-in-law, Mrs. Mattie Belle Blackmore of Elsberry, nieces and nephews.
