Julie “Judy” Fae Carter Beavers. age 75 of Amonate, Virginia was surrounded by her loving family in her home as she took her last breath here on this earth on Sunday, April 3, 2016.

She was born in Scott County, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Edward and Myrtle Vaughn Carter. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Judy was devoted to her family and spent her life caring for them. In her younger days she loved to dance, finding great pleasure in swaying to the music that she loved. She loved to cook, shop and spend time with her family, but her greatest joy was being a mama to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had lived in the Amonate area all her life and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Eula Sparks.

Nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral services for Julie “Judy” Fae Beavers will be conducted at 7:00pm on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, VA with Brother Wayne Mullins officiating. Interment will take place on Thursday at 11:00 am at the Hartwell Cemetery in Hartwell, WV. Pallbearers will be Tommy Honeycutt, Steven Beavers, Jr., Johnathon Payne, Derek Cameron, Chris Cregger and Zachary Dean. Honorary pallbearers will be Marshall Cameron and Clyde Lane. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:30 till time of service at 7:00 pm.
