Paul Murdaugh Of Waco Dies

Paul L. Murdaugh, 65, of 3611 Parkwood died early Tuesday in a Temple hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Wilkirson and Hatch Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Boatman officiating. Burial will be in Waco Memorial Park.

Mr. Murdaugh was born in Commerce and reared in Greenville. He graduated from Greenville High School and attended Burleson College.

He married Miss Gladys Bryant of Cleburne in 1940. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Mediterranean during World War II.

He moved to Waco from Cleburne in 1954. He was with Lone Star Gas Co. several years and later joined Allied Fence Co. as a salesman. He retired in 1971.

He was a member of Herring Avenue United Methodist Church and had served on the Board of Stewards. He was active in the Lions Club and had served as secretary of the Better Business Bureau.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Wayne Murdaugh with the U.S. Army; and three brothers, Harry M. Murdaugh of Atlanta, Ga.; W. J. Murdaugh of Tyler and Billy Murdaugh of Abilene.
