Mr. Jimmy D. Neal, Sr., Age 53 of Clubb Springs Road, Elmwood, TN., died Sunday January 4, 2009 at Riverview Regional Medical Center, Carthage, TN. Mr. Neal was born July 29, 1955 in Gordonsville, TN., the son of the late Celia Delpha Andrews and Avert Elbert Neal. He was married to Linda Joyce Thompson of January 17, 1976. He worked with the Smith County Highway Department for 16 years. He was Baptist in belief and attended the Dixon Springs Mission Church. Mr. Neal is survived by his wife, Linda Thompson Neal of Elmwood. Son, Jimmy D. (Trina) Neal, Jr., of Elmwood, Tn. Step-Daughter, Brenda (Chris) Beasley of Cookville, TN. Grandson, Ben Beasley. Two Brothers: Paul Neal of Lebanon, TN and Dewroy Neal of Carthage, TN. Sister, Judy Wilson of Livingston, TN. Devoted Friend, Ralph Coble. Brothers and Sisters-in-Law: Betty (Bob) Glidewall; Johnny (Candy)Thompson; Frankie Huddleston. Nieces: Tracie (Mo) Hix, Loretta Neal and Barb Wilson. Nephews: William “Shorty” Neal, Johnny Wilson, Kenny Wilson, Mike Wilson and Wayne Wilson. Mr. Neal’s remains are at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Mike Blair and Bro. James “PeeWee” Carter, officiating. Interment will follow in the McMillen Cemetery, Pleasant Shade, TN.The Neal family will receive friends at the Gordonsville Chapel on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from !0:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.
