Marcia was born November 6, 1950 in Peoria to Adah Munk and Roy Lewis. She married Phil King on March 7, 1992 in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are: one daughter, Jennifer (Dave) Hamilton of Chillicothe; one son, Joshua (Desirae) Smick of Chillicothe; four grandchildren, Garrett, Delaney, Cooper, and Kaylee; one sister, Carolyn (Cam) Schneider of Wales, WI; one niece, Stacy (Rob) Schmocker of Mauston, WI; and her father, Roy Lewis of Chillicothe.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Marcia retired from the Bielfeldt Foundation as an executive assistant.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Varna.
Marcia had many passions in her life, including pets and her church. She also loved to volunteer at Helping Hands in Chillicothe and Lutheran Hillside Village in Peoria. However, her greatest passion was her family. Marcia was a devoted grandmother who loved to attend her grandchildren's activities.
Marcia's commitment to helping others continues in this life even after her passing with the donations of her organs to Gift of Hope.
A funeral service will be held for Marcia at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Peoria. A visitation will be held prior to the service at the church starting at 9:30 a.m. Friends and relatives are also invited to a visitation the night before from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Varna. Rev. Peter Glock will officiate.
