He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Turley and Eva Butler Turley; his sisters, Minerva Eastham and Vera Rose Turley; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Turley.
Bob was a veteran of the Korean War, where he served our country in the U.S. Navy. He was employed at Stran Steel in Terre Haute for 30 years and many other manufacturing companies as superintendent or plant manager.
His loss will be felt deeply by his brothers, Clarence Turley of Manchester, Ind., and Perry Turley and wife Kathryn of Terre Haute; his children, Elizabeth Tyler and her husband Greg; son, Kenneth Turley and daughter Cathy Furr; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Talon, Tiffany Calpin, Duff Tyler, Rachell Lyle, Kevin Turley, and Jocelyn Furr. He also was proud of his great-grandchildren, Lathaniel Turley, Patrick Talon, Lita Lyle, Danica Lyle, Maryn Calpin Tessa Calpin, Sally Caron, Lily Turley, and Evelyn Turley.
Services are Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th St. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 972 will conduct military graveside services. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
