A viewing and visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the start of his Remembrance of Life Service, which will be held at 11:00 AM April 6, 2016, at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in Payette. Ray was born in Cottage Grove, OR, to Ray L. Parks, Sr. and Amelia June (Thompson) Parks. Growing up, he was blessed with an older sister, Carolyn J. Parks, and a younger sister, Diana L. Parks (Bellagante). Ray completed schooling through his junior year in Cottage Grove, OR. Then the entire family moved to the Fruitland/Payette area of Idaho, where Ray graduated from Fruitland High School in 1974.
Among many part-time and full-time jobs, plus farming, Ray hired on at Amalgamated Sugar Company in the Nyssa Plant. He worked his way from entry level "Floor Sweeper" through a myriad of jobs, ending his 37-year career as "C" Shift Supervisor at the Nampa Plant. He retired in November of 2015.
He is survived in death by all his immediate family, Ray L. (Sr.) and A. June Parks of Payette, ID; sisters Carolyn J. Parks of Payette, ID, and Diana L. (Parks) Bellagante of Fruitland, ID; and also by his loving helpmate and wife in Caldwell, ID.
