Daughter of Amanda and Harry Allen, Sister to Harvey and Robert. Hazel (Allen) Zimmerman, 87, a former resident of Superior and Bennett, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, in Chicago, Ill. She was born in Brunswick, Minn., to Harry and Amanda Allen on May 11, 1913. She resided in Bennett for several years before moving to Chicago, where she married Louis Zimmerman. Survivors include two nieces, Barbara Clements and Eileen Ketola; a nephew, Robert E. Allen; and a sister-in-law, Jean Allen of Superior. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Robert H. and Harvey Allen; and great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Friday from 9 - 10:30 a.m. at the Thompson-Hegstrom Funeral Home. A graveside service follows at 11 a.m. in Graceland Cemetery with the Rev. Waldo Johnson officiating.
