"Jo Ann Sinclair was born to Josephine and James Smiley in Hugoton, Okla., on Aug. 14, 1930. She lived there briefly until they moved to Paso Robles, Calif. She grew up there with her parents, brother Paul and sister Nellie. In 1942 her father died unexpectedly in an explosion at Morro Bay.
While attending Paso Robles High School Jo Ann met Ron Sinclair and they married in 1950. They were married for 62 years. During most of the ’50s and ’60s they owned and operated a store in Santa Cruz, Calif. They moved to Camino, Calif., in 1968, where they resided until 1980.
Jo Ann worked for Wells Fargo and retired as an Assistant Vice President in 1986. She and Ron spent their retirement years in Magalia, Calif., where they resided for 25 years. They enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling the West in their trailer.
Jo Ann moved to Citrus Heights, Calif., when Ron passed away in 2012. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and needle point and she left behind many handmade treasures for her children and grandchildren. She passed away on March 17, 2016, and will be laid to rest at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Paso Robles. She was deeply loved and will be missed by her two daughters, Jeanne McMaster of Citrus Heights and Linda Kramer of Turner, Ore.; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren."
