Graveside services will be today, July 27, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Williams-Southside Cemetery for Mrs. Lillie G. Watson, 77, of Southside, who died Friday, July 24, 2015. Rev. J.L. Knight will officiate. Williams-Southside Funeral Home will direct.
Mrs. Watson attended the Safe Harbor Church of God and loved to grow flowers and garden.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Annie Godwin; sisters, Ola Link and Mary Clemons; brothers, Aubrey Godwin, Bud Godwin and Marvin Godwin.
She is survived by her loving husband, Walter Lee Watson; loving sons, Greg Watson, Mark (Bonnie) Watson and Brian Watson; granddaughter, Julia Watson Powers; great-grandchild, Brooks Powers; sisters, Juanita Lowery and Geraldine Dawson; brothers, James Godwin and Hillary Godwin.
Special thanks to all of her friends and relatives for your prayers as she courageously battled cancer.
The family will receive friends today from noon until 2 p.m. at Williams-Southside Funeral Home.
