Glenda Sue Chappell, age 80, of Paris, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord and Savior, February 6, 2019, at Henry County Healthcare.

She was a retired hairstylist and owned and operated A Cut Above beauty salon in Paris for 35 years. She enjoyed her artwork and loved to travel with her husband, JD Chappell. She was a member of Tennessee Valley Community Church in Paris and loved her church family.

She was born August 22, 1938 to the late Gordon and Lola Collins of Paris, TN. Sue was married to the late Horace King, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, James "JD" Chappell of Paris, TN; her daughters, Tracy King Kilpatrick of Paris, TN and Sherry King (Don) Mummert of White House, TN; her stepson, James "Jim" Chappell of Nashville, TN; her grandchildren, Taylor Kilpatrick and special friend, Jake Edwards, of Paris, TN and grandson, Colin Kilpatrick of Nashville, TN; one great-grandchild, Palmer Kate Kilpatrick of Paris, TN. She is also survived by her brothers, Danny Collins of Paris, TN and Donald Collins, of Arizona; and one sister, Judy Bain, of Arizona; and many loving friends and extended family.

Sue lived her life to the fullest in every way and loved all that it had to offer. She will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who was lucky enough to call her a friend.

Sue donated her body to research at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She will be cremated.

A celebration of life will be held at Tennessee Valley Community Church on Sunday, February 17, 2019; from 2-4 pm. Steve Gallimore will officiate.
