Richard Burl Burleson, age 90 of New Boston, Texas passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 in a Texarkana Nursing Facility. Mr. Burleson was born November 14, 1925 in New Boston, Texas.
He was a Retired Mechanic at Red River Army Depot, a United States Army Sergeant, WWII and Korean War Veteran, was Baptist and is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cherie Burleson.
Survivors include his wife Ruby Burleson of New Boston, Texas, two sons and daughters in law, Rickey and Pam Burleson of Avery, Texas, Michael and Karen Burleson of Maud, Texas, one brother, Hoyt Burleson of New Boston, Texas, his grandchildren, Amy Hankins, Sharon Lachney, Tammy Woodall, Brian Burleson, great grandchildren, Amanda McCoskey, Cade Hankins, Hunter Strickland, Tanner Strickland, Case Blackstone, Claire Burleson, Chloe Burleson and a number of other family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, April 3, 2016 in the Bates Rolf Chapel, New Boston with Bro. Steve Minter officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be in Ringwood Cemetery.
