Iva “Mildred” Thompson, age 96, of Paducah, passed away at 4:54 pm on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Mrs. Thompson worked for Bell Telephone Company, Reidland Elementary School in the cafeteria and retired from McCracken County Court Clerk office. She was a member of Woodman of the World, Reidland United Methodist Church, chairman of Reidland Methodist Homemakers and was an OWLS member.
She loved UK Basketball, Cardinals Baseball, raising flowers and her Church Reidland United Methodist.
She is survived by her sons, Roger Dean Thompson of Atoka, TN, David Lynn Thompson and wife Nancye of Paducah, KY, Russell Gay Thompson and wife Bunny of Paducah, KY; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; foster daughter, Cherilyn Adams of Manteno, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, George C. Thompson; parents, Gay and Martha Edwards Miller.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Rosebower Cemetery with Rev. Lea Griffith officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
