He served in the US Air Force from 1942 until 1945 where he was awarded a Purple Heart and four Bronze Stars. He married Ann Burch in 1952. He loved to share his knowledge with others. He served in the US Air Force from 1942 until 1945 where he was awarded a purple heart. He met Ann Burch in San Angelo and they married in Carlsbad in 1952. He was a Lineman for 12 years and then went on to become a Heavy Equipment Operator on Pipe Line until the age of 85.Those left to cherish his love and memories are his son: Gary Cox and wife Brenda of Odessa, TX; daughter: Joann Holloway and husband Jerry of Odessa, TX; sister: Sadie Cox; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife: Ann Cox; parents: Jessie and Willie Cox; son: Virgil Duane Cox; brother: J.T.
