Mary Winfred Bauer, 94, of Fort Smith, died April 1, 2016.
She was born Jan. 20, 1922 in Fort Smith to W.E. and Luna Jones Coleman.

Mary was a homemaker who loved growing flowers and was a member of the Hoe-n-Hope Garden Club. She was a member of First Lutheran Church for over 65 years, the LWML, and the Ruth Circle. Mary was very proud that her ancestors were among the first settlers of Sebastian County and that her grandfather was a deputy Marshall.

She was preceded in death by her husband Armin Bauer; her parents; brothers; Sonny and Harold Coleman; sister, Mildred Wagner and her granddaughter Amy Jackson.

Graveside service will be held at the National Cemetery on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.

She is survived by daughter, Nancy Robertson and her husband, Tom; son Bob Bauer and his wife Ginny; six grandchildren; Stacey Robertson, Jenny Ross and husband Doug, Brandon Bauer and wife Amber, Justin, Ryan and Lauren Bauer, and grandson in law, Andy Jackson, nine great grandchildren Jackson and Brooks Marshall, Bryant, Grace and Evan Jackson, Noah, Emma, and Will Ross and Adam Bauer. Pallbearers will be Brandon, Justin, and Ryan Bauer, Jackson and Brooks Marshall, Doug and Will Ross, and Andy, Bry and Evan Jackson.
