Born Oct. 29, 1940, at West Unity, to Velma A. (Booream) and Gerald G. Finch, she married Seldon W. Schad on Jan. 9, 1960, at Pleasant Lake, Ind. and he survives.
She was employed by Spangler Candy Co. for 43 years, retiring in April 2004.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Ellen) Harp of Bryan; a son, Tim Schad of Bryan; two sisters, Wilma Adams of West Unity and Mrs. Doyle (Myrna) Wines of Bryan; four brothers, William G. Stine Sr. of West Unity, Larry (and wife, Mae) Finch of West Unity, Burton (Sandy) Finch of West Unity and Gerald D. (Elsie) Finch of Afton, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Geraldine "Joan" Martin.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in Krill Funeral Home, Bryan.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Debbie Kaylor to officiate. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery, rural Bryan.
