Roscoe - Funeral for Mrs. S. G. (Myrtle Lillie) Gentry, 83, who died at 4:15 a.m. in Morris Nursing Home here, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Wells Funeral Home Chapel here. The Rev. Lewis Markwood, pastor of the First Baptist Church here, will officiate. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Virgil Wilson, Howard Keys, Roy Morris, Bill Shields, Oliver Young and Harold McFaul.
Mrs. Gentry had been in ill health for 15 years.
Born Dec. 20, 1884 in Erath County, she married S. G. Gentry in Dublin on March 8, 1902. They formerly lived in Abilene and moved to Nolan County in 1962. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
A son was killed in World War II.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Carol Horschler of Lubbock, Mrs. W. B. Hammers of 510 Peach in Abilene, and Mrs. J. C. Hart of Burbank, Calif.; two sons, R. N. of Los Angeles, Calif. and N. B. of Shawnee, Okla.; a sister, Mrs. Ollie Onstotts of Fort Worth; a brother, C. M. Carraway of DeLeon; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
