Roscoe, Dec. 21 - Struck by another automobile as he was attempting to pull his own car alongside the highway near Roscoe, A. M. Coleman, Sr., 59, a Nolan County farmer since 1919 and father of Tonto Coleman, Abilene Christian College assistant football coach, died in the Young Hospital at Roscoe about 6:30 tonight.
Coleman suffered a fractured skull and never regained consciousness. The tragedy occurred at 1 o'clock.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of Christ in Roscoe at 3:30 Monday. Other arrangements are incomplete.
Coleman had farmed two and one-half miles east of Roscoe since coming to Texas from Alabama.
Survivors include the wife; five sons, A. M. (Tonto) Coleman, Jr. of Abilene, Carl Coleman of McCamey, Harry and Harold Coleman, both of Roscoe, and Walter Coleman of San Antonio; and three daughters, Mrs. Walter Sanders of Blackwell, Mrs. Laura Jackson of Roscoe and Mrs. Gerald Ward of San Angelo.
