Jason Carl Hicks "Jaybird", age 39, of Wilmington, DE, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 30, 2016. Jason was a goodhearted man who loved to help everyone. He was never without a smile on his face. As a jack of all trades, he was good at whatever he set his mind to do. He enjoyed playing Frisbee golf and walking his dog, Smoke.

Jason is survived by his parents, Michael & Deborah Hicks; sister, Jodi Hicks; brother, Jonathan Hicks; grandmother, Vestal E. Hicks; grandfather, Richard Kalmbacher; uncles, Rick Kalmbacher (Suzanne) and Christopher Hicks (Maria); aunts, Denise Miles (Shelley), Cyndee Ferlin (Jerry), and Margaret Riddagh (James); and 4 nephews: Darrion Hicks, Anton Hicks, Aiden Hicks, and Layton Allen.

A visitation will be held Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 10-11 AM in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702 followed by a service in celebration of Jason's life at 11 AM . Burial will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
