Howard Eugene Marshall Sr., 82, of Magnolia Drive, died at 8:15 a.m. March 31, 2016, at his home of natural causes.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Lamb Funeral Home with the Rev. Brandon Boone officiating.

Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

A native of Lawrence County, Tenn., he was born April 28, 1933, the son of the late Chesley Hugh Marshall and Irene Mary South Childress.

He had been a truck driver for Kent and Brandon Berry and Rogers Group and had also been a deputy jailer. He was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, the VFW Post 1913 and DAV Chapter #8. He served in the United States Air Force for four years and the United States Army for three years. He served in Korea.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Hudspeth Marshall, Hopkinsville; his daughter, Kathy Teague, Hopkinsville; two sons, Michael Marshall and Howard Eugene Marshall Jr., both of Hopkinsville; a brother, Tommy Marshall, Ethridge, Tenn.; two sisters, Dale Dooley, Wayne County, Tenn., and Nell Long, Lawrence County, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
