ELKHART, IN — Christopher “Chris” Scott Schultz, 20, of Elkhart, lost his battle to depression and anxiety Wednesday, March 30, 2016.
He was born Feb. 8, 1996, in Elkhart, to Robert Scott Schultz and Lena R. Moore.
Surviving are a daughter, Scarlette D. Schultz; his father and stepmother, Robert S. (Angie S.) Schultz; his mother, Lena R. Moore (Jeff Gould); a special friend, Alissa Harper; and his brother, Carson Gould, all of Elkhart.
Also surviving are three stepbrothers, Kristofer Byrkett of Elkhart, Nicholas A. Byrkett of Goshen, Ryan T. Ayers of Texas; grandparents Gerald Schultz of Crossville, Tenn., Don and Diane Conrad of Trout Lake, Mich.; and a great-grandmother, Margaret Conrad of Goshen.
Chris graduated in 2014 from Memorial High School. He loved spending time with his daughter and family and enjoyed bowling.
The family receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 1, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at the funeral home. Pastor Brian Whidden from the Elkhart Calvary Assembly of God presided and burial followed in Rice Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Christopher’s parents for his daughter, Scarlette Schultz.
