Judge Christopher Chinn was born in Limestone (now Maysville) Kentucky, a son of Christopher and Milly Chinn.

He married May 12, 1811 Sarah White Stull Hardin and spent his life in Harrodsburg.

He was County Judge of Mercer County, Ky at the time of his death.
