Warren "Bud" Bass Jr. passed away at his home in Oliver Springs on April 1, 2016. At the age of 63, he left his earthly body and went home to be with the Lord.

Bud was born in Harriman, TN on April 11, 1952. He married the love of his life, Wilma Bowling Bass, on May 26, 1973 at Cedar Hill Baptist Church in Clinton, TN.

Bud retired from Lockheed Martin as a guard, where he earned many accommodations including the Skilled Sharp Shooter award. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, Master Mason and past Worshipful Master of the Oliver Springs Omega Lodge #536.

He was known by everyone around him for how much he loved his wife, kids, grandkids, and the Lord. Bud was a lifelong member at Cedar Hill Baptist Church where he was proud to serve as a Deacon for many years.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents: Warren Bass Sr. and Ruby Katherine Wilson Bass and by his brother: Jackson Bass.

Bud is survived by his wife of 42 years: Wilma Bowling Bass, daughter: Shelby Bass Massengale and husband Byron, son: Steven Bass and wife Holley, son: Derrick Bass and wife Katrina, grandchildren: Chandler Massengale, Matthew Bass, Jacob Massengale, Steven Robert Bass, Alysa Massengale, Brylee Bass, Paislee Bass, and Kynlee Bass, siblings: Marvin Bass, Debbie Johnson, Mark Bass, Stacy Bass, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, church family, and beloved friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 6, between the hours of 6:00-8:00PM with a funeral service to follow at 8:00PM at Premier Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 7, at Long Cemetery in Dutch Valley at 12:00 noon with Rev. Joe Copeland officiating. The family request that donations be made to Premier Sharp Funeral Home on behalf of Warren Bass Jr. and his family. Premier Sharp Funeral Home is honored to serve the Bass family.
