Andy Dennis Andrews, 73, of Chiefland, passed away Tuesday, March 29th, 2016. Mr. Andrews was a farmer and owner of Andrews Old Seed Store, he founded A.D. Andrews Nursery and was the owner of the Levy County Journal newspaper. He was an avid lover of family, history, the outdoors and was a staunch conservationist. Mr. Andrews was a sixth generation Floridian, a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and was a Primitive Baptist.
He is survived by three daughters, Martha Ann Jakab of Jacksonville, Mary Andrews of Gainesville, and Amy J. Andrews de Miranda and husband Carlos of Memphis, TN; one brother, Dennis Andrews of Chiefland; a sister, Martha Kay of Ocala; and four grandchildren.
There will be a Visitation on Saturday, April 2nd, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Knauff Funeral Home Chapel in Chiefland and there will be a Graveside Service on Sunday, April 3rd, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the Chiefland Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Knauff Funeral Home in Chiefland.
