David Alec Holder, 53, of Woodway and formerly of Garland and Hubbard, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at a Waco hospice facility. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, April 3 at Prairie Hill Cemetery with Rev. Harold Watkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, April 2 at Wade Funeral Home.

David was born March 22, 1963 in Garland to George Alva and Helen June (McDaniel) Holder. He lived in Garland until the family moved to the Hubbard area in 1979. David worked for Taylor Made Termite and Pest Control in McGregor where he had not only many loyal customers but friends as well. He enjoyed skydiving, traveling (especially Colorado) and watching movies (especially Netflix).

He was preceded in death by his father, George Alva Holder in 2010.

Survivors include his mother, Helen June Holder of Woodway; fiancé, Beverly Salyer of Woodway; two sisters, Tracey Bixby and husband, Mike of Woodway and Kimberly Hope of Hubbard; uncles and aunts, Jimmy and Lori McDaniel of Corsicana and Harold and Gail Watkins of Hubbard; an uncle, Jesse Rios of Fate; four nieces and nephews and seven great-nieces and great-nephews and other extended family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be C.J. Watkins, James Holder, Marcus Rios, Michael Gonzalez, Keith McGee and John Ender.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kerry McDaniel and Brod Bixby.
