Troy Clifton Burns of Cypress Inn, TN was born December 9, 1933 in Cypress Inn, TN the son of the late William and Annie Martin Burns. Mr. Burns departed this life Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence at the age of 82 Years, 3 Months, 22 Days. Mr. Burns, a disabled farmer, was a member of Bevis Church of Christ. He was married to Irene Copeland June 14, 1953.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Copeland Burns and a son, Travis Burns both of Cypress Inn, TN, three daughters, Jean Bogus of Muscle Shoals, AL, Willodean Coats of Florence, AL, Maveline Kendale of Chicago, IL, 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, five brothers, Nolan Burns of Florence, AL, Junior Burns of Walnut Grove, Wayford Burns of Florence, AL, Alfred Burns of Murfreesboro, TN, Preston Burns of Florida, three sisters, Dorothy Henson and Anita West both of Florence, AL, Avadale Whitten of Flint, MI, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 1:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the Lutts Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
