His Father Mother and siblings left KY for MO in 1841 and walked to OR.
Ben with his brother David their wife's Bens wife Harriet Wingfield Davids wife Loretta Kelsey and children came out in 1843.
Along with his wife's uncles the Applegate Brothers and Their married Sister Lucreita Applegate and her husband Samuel Kelsey.
Ben was helping Jessie and Charles get established in Yoncalla when he was taken ill and died.
His mother buried him in the long row.
She is the only one to have a beautiful headstone.
He rests with his sons Thomas and David
no headstones.
Silas his son my grandfather rests in CA he left OR and built the railroad stations down to Guadalupe CA where my father was born the family then moved to Fresno where Silas rests
