Bill was born in Pelican, LA, February 20, 1931 to William and Bessie Peacock and passed away on August 28, 2008 at Willis-Knighton North in Shreveport, LA. Bill loved having cook-outs with his family and friends, and spending time with his church family. He enjoyed being outside with his mules and wagon, walking in his pasture and working with his tractor. He will always be remembered for telling jokes and building his "pine pile." He was a member of the Wallace Baptist Church and a Korean War Veteran. He retired as a Right-Of-Way District Foreman for Valley Electric after 26 years of service.
Preceding Bill in death were his parents William H and Bessie D. Peacock; one daughter Debbie Romero; one grandson Eric Parker; two brothers; and one sister. Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Dora Lee Peacock; children John and wife Mary Jean Berry, Theodora and husband James Parker, Carolyn and husband David Graves, Marian and husband Benny Bell, Barbara Jean and husband Ray Parker, Brenda Gale and husband Glenn Arnold, Billy Wayne and wife Gwen Peacock, and Shaun and wife Jennifer Peacock; 21 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
Pallbearers will be his great friends from Leesville; Phil Lewis, Mike Horton, Ted Cabra, Alan Loris, a special nephew Dr. Bill Frisk, and a friend he loved and considered as another son Gene Poimboeuf. Honorary Pallbearers will be the men of Wallace Baptist Church and Neighbor, Alton Middleton.
