Mr. Dove was retired and had been employed for 31 years as a heavy machinery operator for the David Ross Construction Co. in St. Louis. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Warrenton.
The funeral was July 2 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Burial was at St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
Among survivors are his wife, Laura Dove of Warrenton; two sons, Vincent Dove of Scottsdale, Pa., and Kenneth Dove of Wright City; a daughter, Rosetta Jones of Warrenton; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
