Orie 'Lee' Pugh, age 85, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Rohr Nursing Home in Bartow. Born August 22, 1930 in Sarepta, LA, Mr. Pugh was a resident of Bartow since 1986, moving from Lake Wales. He was a Science & Physical Education Teacher for many years. He was a baseball enthusiast and an avid Rays Fan. Lee was a dedicated Christian who loved the Lord. He loved with all his heart his wife and family. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Nancy K. Pugh, Bartow; five daughters: Grace Owen, Shari Mayfield and Nan Simon, all of Lakeland, Barbie Miller of Bartow & Cindy Sloan of Winter Haven, six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Family will receive friends Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 1, 2016, at 10:00 AM at Bartow First Assembly of God, 915 S. Broadway Ave. Interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery.
