Melvin E. Cantor, 80, of Winchester, husband of Beulah Crowe Cantor, passed away Sept. 1, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Mr. Cantor was born April 6, 1933, to the late Matt and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Walling Cantor. He was retired from Thompson Sawmill and a veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Chris and Virlon Cantor; four grandchildren, Jordan Cantor, Michelle Purcell, Crystal Cantor and Breanna Cantor; great-grandchildren, Skye and Julian Jones; brother, Douglas Cantor; and sister, Bobbie Rogers.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Hopper and a brother, Lawrence Cantor.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 4, at Scobee Funeral Home by Pastor Billy Keller.
