Mrs. Kornetzke, whose maiden name was Louise Schroeder, was born in Germany, Feb. 17, 1854, and came to this country with her parents at the age of two. The family settled at Milwaukee and later resided in the town of Rockland. She was united in marriage to Michael Kornetzke at Reedsville in 1873 and the couple lived on a farm in the town of Rockland. Her husband preceded her in death in 1890.
Mrs. Kornetzke moved to the village of Brillion with her family in 1905 and the past four years has been residing with her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Maertz.
Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Augusta Radant, Manitowoc; Miss Christine Kornetzke, Brillion; Mrs. Charles Kosmosky, Hilbert; Mrs. Elizabeth Rathbun, Milwaukee; and Mrs. William Maertz, Brillion, route 1; two sons, Charles, Plymouth; and Michael, Greenleaf; one brother, Michael Schroder, Collins; two sisters, Mrs. Horace Greenlau, Fond du Lac; and Mrs. Marie Mahnke, Milwaukee; 34 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday at 12;30 p.m. at the home and at 1 o'clock from the Trinity Lutheran church, Brillion. The Rev. Martin Sauer conducted the services and interment was in the Reedsville Lutheran cemetery. Mrs. Kornetzke was a member of the local Trinity Lutheran congregation.
