APRIL 5, 1920 — SEPT. 3, 2012

Minnie C. Parks, 92, of Bloomington, passed away Monday at Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford. She was born on April 5, 1920, in Monroe County, IN, the daughter of Dean and Maude (Dill) May.

Minnie had worked for Sarkes Tarzian and retired from Indiana University (Halls of Residence). She was a member of the Clear Creek Christian Church and was an avid IU basketball and football fan.

Minnie is survived by her daughter, Jenny Robertson; three grandchildren, Patti Lynn Sears (Joe), Kelly Dee Rogers (George) and Cathy G. Wilson Sr. (Chuck); seven great-grandchildren, Gideon Sears (Kaycee), Jerusha Young (Jake), Lazarus Sears, Moses Sears (Abby Morron), Hailey M. Rogers, G. Wyatt Rogers and Jacob R. Cornwell; two great-grandchildren, Owen Young and Oliver Young; one step-great-great-granddaughter, Zoe Lee Wilson; son-in-law, Guy “Bo” Robertson; and sister-in-law, Mary Parks.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger Parks, July 3, 2012; one daughter, Sarah C. Hatchett; four brothers, Robert, Gilbert, Richard and William May; three sisters, Evelyn Bell, Margaret Keller and Erma Dillman; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold Parks, Ann Parks, Vera Parks and Ruth May.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Allen Funeral Home with Glen Stidd officiating. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice, Stonebridge Health Campus and Dr. Schmalz for all of the great care Minnie received.
