Steven Dale Bond, Sr., 66 of Brandywine, MD, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 in Ocala, Florida. He was surrounded by friends and family.
Born December 26, 1949 in Washington, DC to the late Ralph Bond, Sr and Athuala Bond (Tubekis).
He served in the United States Navy for four years. Veteran of the Vietnam War, he served on the USS Corry overseas and was stationed at Norfolk, Virginia.
After his military service, he started his lifelong career with the Prince George's Board of Education as an Electronics Technician. He retired as a Foreman after 38 years of service.
He had a love of the outdoors. Steven spent any available time fishing, hunting, crabbing and just enjoying the outdoors with friends. He loved road trips, baseball and playing horseshoes, cornhole, and cards with friends.
Survived by his wife, Joan Bond; sons, Steven Mendoza, Brian Cory Bond and wife Joanne, Michael Bond and wife Treeci; step-daughter, Joan Culbert and husband Duane; sister, Charlotte Bond; and brothers, Robert Bond and Ralph Bond Jr. Also survived by seven grandchildren.
Proceeded in death by his parents, his sister, Carolyn Sue Rye; brother, Richard Bond; and step-son, Anthony Dragotto.
