She was born June 21, 1959 in Waterloo, the daughter of Everett Harvey and Edna Ruth (Lucas) Jessen. Lori graduated from Waterloo Central High School with the class of 1977 and completed registered nurse training at Hawkeye Community College.
She was united in marriage with William E. Wilson on May 18, 1996 at First Baptist Church in Cedar Falls.
Lori worked as a registered nurse at People’s Community Health Clinic and prior to that at the American Red Cross. She was an active member of Grace Baptist Church.
Lori loved to cook and bake, and enjoyed reading, spending time in nature and taking road trips with her family. She was especially enjoyed shopping trips with her daughter Liza.
Survivors include: her husband, William of Waterloo; a daughter, Elizaveta “Liza” Wilson; and a son, Roman Wilson, all of Waterloo; a stepdaughter, Michelle (Teri) Winkey of Cedar Falls; a stepson, William “Bill” (Amy) Wilson of Waverly; five step- grandchildren, Kirsten, Jacob, Jeremy, Jack and Sam; a brother, Edward (Colleen) Jessen of Dunkerton; a half brother, Michael Daniels of Troy, MO; a niece, Kimberly and a nephew, Bradley.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her birth mother, Gladys Daniels.
Services 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2016 at Grace Baptist Church, 3820 Hammond Avenue, Waterloo
Visitation 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 3 at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel and an hour prior to the services on Monday at the church
