Mary C. Unger, age 95, of New Paris, OH passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Forest Park Health Campus, Richmond, IN. She was born March 1, 1921 in Jay County, IN to the late Albert and Edith (Kochersperger) Theurer. She was a 1939 graduate of Madison High School near Portland, IN and attended Richmond Business College, Richmond, IN; she retired from Michael Murphy Insurance Agency (formerly Eubank Insurance Agency) as a secretary; and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Richmond, IN.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by brother Norman Theurer.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Paul J. Unger of New Paris, OH; son Roger A. (Beth Ann) Unger of Gordonville, TX; daughter Ann E. (David) Gross of Lebanon, OH; son Kevin P. (Becky) Unger of Lake Ozark, MO; grandchildren Scott (Heather) Kleeman of Middletown, OH, Christian (Mallory) Unger of Keller, TX, Robert (Lauren) Unger of Charlotte, NC and Sara (Cody) Seidel of Springfield, MO; and great grandchildren Ethan Kleeman, Tyler Kleeman and Leighton Unger.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 9:30 am until time of funeral services at 11:00 am at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Robert C. Meckley officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH.
