Linda Joyce Mason was the daughter of Lawrence Ezra Mason and his second wife, Edna Mae Atwell, born in Tulare County, California. She was Ez's third child and Edna's sixth child. She appeared with them on the 1940 census in Alila, Tulare, California.

Linda attended Lodi Academy and graduated May 26, 1957. Her school affiliations were Upsilon Gamma and the Associated Student Body. Her hobby was reading and she hoped to become a secretary, as per her school yearbook for 1957. According to an article in the Lodi News-Sentinel dated June 21, 1957, Linda made a surprise announcement of her engagement to Leland Yeoman at her graduation party. The article stated that both were members of the Central Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lodi. Linda's younger brothers, Larry and Ronny were mentioned.

According to an article in the Lodi News-Sentinel dated September 12, 1957, Linda Joyce Mason married Leland R. Yeoman on August 25, 1957 at the Central Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lodi. Elder Morris Benden officiated before 350 guests. The reception was held in Mattison Hall. The couple resided in Loma Linda, California after their honeymoon at Clear Lake, California.

Linda Joyce Yeoman's name appeared in a November 3, 1958 San Bernardino Daily Sun article concerning a traffic accident she was in on October 30, 1958 in Yucaipa. Linda was driving a small foreign-made car that shattered on impact in a head-on collision with another car that did not have its headlights on. Linda succumbed to her injuries on November 2, 1958. Her funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. at Hughes Loma Linda Mortuary on November 5, 1958.
