Millie was born on January 8, 1924 in Breda, IA to Alphonse “AJ” and Elizabeth (Schulte) Wolterman.

Millie received her education from St. Bernard School in Breda, IA and graduated from St. Bernard High School in 1941. She attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, IA and received her teaching certificate in 1943. She then taught in rural schools in the Carroll area.

Millie and Melvin Noethe were united in marriage on August 26, 1947 at St. Bernard's Church in Breda. The couple moved to Fonda in 1947 and farmed southwest of Fonda until retirement in 1990, when they moved to their new home in Fonda. They had five children and were married 45 years until Melvin's passing on March 14, 1993.

Millie and Jesse McCoy were united in marriage on November 15, 1997 at OLGC Church in Fonda and were married for 13 years until Jesse's passing on June 25, 2011.

Millie was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America for over 50 years. She was also a member of the OLGC Holy Family Society and OLGC Choir.

She loved bowling and golfing in couples league and ladies league. She was especially proud of her bowling score of 231 in ladies league bowling and her golf score of 36. She was a talented seamstress and cook. She always had that “special tin” of chocolate chip cookies in the freezer for the grandchildren.

Millie was always a loving and gentle caretaker for others. She was a woman of deep faith and dedicated her life to her family. She especially shared a special bond with her youngest daughter, Lisa.
