Graveside services for Karen Lynn Lane, 55, of Midway, will be held at 1 P.M., Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Allphin Cemetery in rural Madison County. A visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M on Friday at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas. Karen Lynn Lane was born on January 19, 1961 in Johnson City, Texas to Earl Leon & Laura (Thomas) Garrett. She was baptized in the Baptist Church on March 12, 1972 and had lived in Leon and Madison Counties for a number of years. Karen enjoyed crocheting and was a member of the American Legion Auxillary. She passed away on March 28, 2016 in Bryan following a lengthy illness. Karen was preceded in death by her father; brothers, Thomas Lee, Carl Leon & Howard Ray Garrett and grandson, Christopher David Moore, Jr. She is survived by mother, Laura Garrett; son, Christopher David Moore of Tomball; brother, Bobby Garrett of Madisonville; sisters, Earline Owens of Midway, B.J. Himburg of Leona, Patsy Garrett of Midway, Peggy Rasberry of Midway & Kathy Holland of Weatherford; granddaughters, Kristyn, Laura & Karly Moore and great grandson, Kenton Wayne Moore. Madisonville Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
