Amy Sue Garrison West, 85, of Crossville, passed away March 11, 2016. She was born in Crossville on May 28, 1930, the daughter of Powell D. Garrison Sr. and Anne Fine Garrison.
Amy Sue Garrison and Jack West were married in January 1951. She worked for Simonton’s Dairy for many years and then began working for Highland Federal Savings and Loan in 1971. Sue was especially well known to her customers for her welcoming smile and her graciousness. She became vice president of Highland Federal in 1981 and retired in that position in 1992.
She is survived by her son, William Clark West; daughter-in-law, Shannon West; granddaughter, Erin Beth West; and sister-in-law, Faye Garrison, all of Crossville.
Her husband, Jack D. West, and brother, Powell D. Garrison Jr., preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home on Monday, March 14, 2016, with burial following in the Crossville City Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Bro. Jack Chadwell and Bro. Kenneth Chadwell for performing the services.
Pallbearers were Gordon Vanhoy Jr., Gordon Vanhoy III, Jim Mitchell, William Strong, Greg Ingram, Marcus Davis, Danny Dillard and Tom Houston.
The family requests any memorial donations are given to the Art Circle Public Library or any local Relay for Life.
