Jake Heberlein Jr., 43, died Wednesday morning at Weld County General Hospital. He had been ill for the past year and a half.

Born, June 28, 1912 in Russia, Heberlein came to the US with his parents in 1923 [sic]. They settled at Kersey and he had since lived in the Greeley community. Heberlein was a farmer. Until February when his ill health forced him to move to Greeley, he had farmed the Henry Brown place west of Greeley.

He was a member of St. Paul's Congregational church, Greeley Lodge No. 809, BPOE, Farmers Union and Farm Bureau.

Heberlein and Caroline A Schaefer were married April 5, 1936 in Greeley.

Survivors are his wife, 3 children; his father, Jacob Heberlein Sr. of Greeley; a brother, George Heberlein of Ault; 4 sisters, Mrs. Mollie Hoffman, Mrs. Martha Lockman and Mrs. Frieda Trimble, all of Greeley, and Mrs. Linda Schmidt of Wiggins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from St. Paul's Congregational church, with interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Adamson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
