One of six children,born to Luther Benjamin and Birdie Spell Sullivan in Mize,Smith Co.Ms.
Aunt Mag, had two children,Betty Ann, who passed away in an auto accident and a son, she loved them very much,She was such a sweet lady.When I frist married into the family,we went to visit and she made me feel so at home,and she was a very good cook.

Funeral rites for Maggie Lee Brooks, 77, of Rt. 3, Lucedale, were held March 14 at 2 p.m. at Barton Baptist Church.
She was a native of Mize, and a member of Barton Baptist Church. She died March 11, 1994 at Providence Hospital.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty Ann Stringer, and a son, Carrol D. Brooks, both of Lucedale; a stepdaughter, Floy Greer of Illinois; and three stepsons, Herman Brooks of Alabama; Clyde Brooks, Georgia; and Otha Brooks of Jackson; and two grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Fannie Robertson of Jackson; Ella Noble of Florence; and Bobby Gray of Montgomery, Ala.
Services were conducted by Rev. Gary Strehlow. Interment was in Barton Baptist Church Cemetery with George County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Serving as pallbearers were Sonny Brooks, Jimmy Brooks, Dewayne Brooks, C. E. Craft, Bert Glidewell and Mike Stringer.
