Mr. Beard was an avid golfer, bowler and fisherman, He was also a Baptist.
Survivors include his son Jerry Douglas Beard of Pocahontas, MS; brother Alan (Cindy) Beard of Pontotoc, MS; sister Debra Bowers of Grenada, MS; granddaughter Kaitlynn Beard.
Preceded in death by his parents Wayne Lamar and Rachel White Beard.
