Mr. Alexander was born September 6, 1954 in Shorter, Alabama to Mr. Charles and Tommie Mae Alexander. He attended church and was baptized at Nebraska Baptist Church during the early stages of his life. He graduated from Deborah Cannon Wolfe High School in 1973.
He served in the United States Army and United States Navy Reserve. He was employed at the West Meade Place Nursing Facility in Nashville, Tennessee where he departed this life on December 14. 2005.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Alexander, Sr.; mother, Tommie Mae Alexander, brother, Charles Alexander, Jr., Harvey Lee Alexander, Ausby Sears Alexander; and brother-in-law, Herbert Peterson.
He leaves to cherish his memory: sisters, Carrie Peterson of Lynn Haven, FL and Adrianne Elizabeth Alexander-Giles of Shorter, AL; brothers, Melvin (Josephine) Alex-ander of Stone Mountain, GA, Bobby (Annie Laura) Alexander of Tuskegee, AL; aunts, Velma Wright of Shorter, AL and Lobelia Moore of Tampa, FL and widowed sisters-in-law, Janie Alexander of Shorter, AL and Flora Mae Alexander of Deca-tur, GA. In addition, he leaves to mourn a devoted companion, Shelia Phillips and her sons, Brandon and Dakota, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
