Last rites were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from Huffman Funeral Home, Carroll for Albert Liechti, Lake View farmer.

Liechti, 54, was killed last week Wednesday evening when a farm tractor he was driving was struck by a car on old highway 71 near his farm northeast of Lake View.

The Rev. Elmer G. Otte, Mapleton, officiated at the service. Mrs. Kenneth K, Holley was organist and George Kolbe, soloist, sang "In The Garden" and "I've Done My Work". Casket bearers were Elmer Venzke, Lake View; Bill Murley, Sac City; Mac Liechti and Earl Liechti, Arcadia; Harold Kraft and Ralph Bilsten, Denison.

Burial was in the Carroll City Cemetery.

Mr. Liechti is survived by his wife, the former Vergil Krause; two daughters, Sharon Kay and Sheryl Jean Liechti; his mother, Mrs. John Liechti and one sister, Mrs. Gottfried Gruhn, Carroll.

He was born April 5, 1907 in Carroll county, a son of John and Florence Liechti. His marriage to Vergil Krause took place at Mapleton April 12, 1937. They have lived northeast of Lake View since 1946.

His father and one brother, Charles, preceded him in death.
