Violet L. Adams, age 92, of Angola, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016, at Northern Lakes Nursing Center, Angola, Indiana.
She was born on March 25, 1924 in Steuben County, Indiana, to Richard Loton and May Blanche (Corey) Wells, they preceded her in death.
Violet graduated from Angola High School. She worked in retail, and also at Dana - Weatherhead in Angola, and worked with her husband as a truck driver for several years.
She married Robert F. Adams on November 16, 1946 in Angola, Indiana, he preceded her in death on January 9, 2001.
She was a longtime member of the Nevada Mills United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included, ceramics, and fishing.
Survivors include, a daughter, Shannon (David) Adams Bowman, of Greenwood, Indiana, and a son, Barry N. Adams of Angola, Indiana, her grandchildren, Mathew Wayne Adams, Gwen Eve Adams, Kellie Ann Goebel, Lorie Ellen Morris, and David Bruce Bowman, Jr., eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Rex Adams, and Bruce W. Adams, her sisters, Wauneta Cooper, Mary Cronkwright, Lois Champion, Marjorie Champion, Hazel Logan Farrington, and her brothers, Welcome Wells, Edgar Wells, and Franz Wells.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday, April 1, 2016 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11 am Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Jamestown Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana, with Pastor Craig Johnson officiating.
Memorials are requested to the Steuben County Council on Aging.
