Dearborn, Mich. – Funeral services for Floyd Daniel Essinger, 80, Lincoln Park, Mich., will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Dearborn. Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery, on Gratiot Ave. in Detroit.
Mr. Essinger died Friday night, December 28, 1979 in Dearborn.
He was born February 10, 1899 in Van Buren Township, Hancock County, Ohio to Peter and Henrietta (Arras) Essinger. He married Lauretta Elizabeth Althoff, and she survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Chaplin Jesse, Adak. Aleutian Islands; the Rev. Jerome, Marine City, Mich.; James of Dallas, Texas a brother, P.W. of Arlington; a sister, Emma Wilson, 317 Lima Ave., Findlay; 13 grandchildren; and three great; grandchildren.
Mr. Essinger as a former schoolteacher. He was a retired employee of General Motors Corp., Detroit.
