Erwin L. Casterline, 69 of Michigan Avenue, died Tuesday in Leila Hospital, where he had been a patient since Friday.
He was born in Williamston and moved to Battle Creek as a child with his family. He was employed as a tool grinder by Clark Equipment Co. and retired in 1975 after 32 years of service.
He was a member of Allied Industrial Workers Local 939, AFLCIO.
His wife, the former Helen E. Dahnke died in 1970.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. George (Deborah) Rigby of Stowe, VT, and Mrs. Susan Larow of St. Johnsbury, VT, sons, Donald E. of Lansing, William F. of Ridgemoor St., Thomas L. of Olive St. and Willard G. of E. Michigan Ave., a brother, Willard G. of Eldred St., a sister Leona Hall of Plainwell and 12 crandchildren.
Services will be a 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hebble funeral Home.
