Ryan Scott Burns, 26, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at his home.

Ryan was born in Evansville, Indiana on December 16, 1989 to Lonnie and Kathy (Gaffney) Burns. He worked for Blankenberger Brothers and was a member of Laborers' Local 561. Ryan was an athlete at Mater Dei High School. He loved football, wrestling, martial arts, and boxing. Ryan enjoyed going to the gym and having bonfires with friends. He especially enjoyed Super Bowl Sundays with his Uncle Dan. Ryan loved dogs, was great with children, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Ryan is survived by his parents, Lonnie and Kathy (Gaffney) Burns; siblings,
Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Gaffney Sr., Delbert Burns, and Jean Burns; and uncles, William Gaffney Jr. and Van, Jack, and Denny Burns.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Resurrection Catholic Church, 5301 New Harmony Rd., 47720 with Father Philip Kreilein officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Browning Funeral Home, and again from 10:30 AM until time of mass on Wednesday at Resurrection Catholic Church, 5301 New Harmony Rd., 47720.
