Harold D. Everts, 49, of Mount Union R.D. died Thursday, December 16, 1976 at 1 a.m. en route to a physician's office. He had been ill for the past three weeks. He was born in Shirley Township on June 29, 1927, a son of Bert P. and Edna M. (Kelly) Everts. He was united in marriage to Charlotte Semple on June 20, 1945.

Surviving are his wife; his mother, of Mount Union R.D.; and the following children: Mrs. Kenneth (Diana) Clark, Shirleysburg R.D.; Mrs. Paul (Gloria) Crum, Mount Union and Mrs. Lee (Donna) Bilger, Mount Union. There are nine grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters and a brother; Mrs. Edward (Lillian) Fortney, Newton Hamilton; William J. Everts, Mount Union and Mrs. Paul (Mary) Harman, Cleveland, Ohio.

The deceased was a member of the United Methodist Church of Allenport. For the past two years, he had been employed by the East Broad Top Railroad.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 18, at 2 p.m. from the Heath funeral home, Mount Union. The Rev. Thomas A. Maurer will officiate and interment will be made in Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg R.D. Friends may call at the funeral home until 9 o'clock this evening and, on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until the hour of the services.
